EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA)
Call 12 is due to open in April 2025 (details to be confirmed).
Impact acceleration account (IAA) is a strategic award that provides funding to Queen's University for a wide range of impact activities. This award enables researchers to develop flexible, creative and tailored approaches to increase the impact of their research by building new or developing existing partnerships locally and across the world.
EPSRC recognises that the IAAs are an important mechanism for delivering impact for Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) research and that there is a strong potential in supporting greater connectivity across the broader EPS ecosystem.
Funding is available to researchers to further support impact generation from their research for a range of project activities including Secondments, Collaboration Catalysts, Demonstration of Commercial Principle projects, Enterprise Fellowships and for Non-Commercially Focused projects. Projects wishing to focus on non-commercial impacts and, in particular, projects with potential policy impacts are encouraged. Applications for Enterprise Fellowships and Outward Secondments are encouraged. Typical funding for each project is expected to be between £2,500 and £10,000 (with up to £30,000 available for secondments and enterprise fellowships). It is not a requirement that IAA-funded projects are related to previous UKRI funding.
